Shop Safely with awaKart Escrow
No scams. No ghosting. When you buy clothes, shoes, electronics, or resources on campus, our Escrow system holds your money safely until you have the item in your hands.
How Your Money is Protected
Secure Holding Vault
When you tap check out, your money doesn't go straight to the seller's personal bank account. Instead, it enters the awaKart Escrow Vault. The vendor sees that you’ve paid, but they can't touch the funds yet.
On-Campus Handover
The vendor prepares your item and coordinates delivery with you on campus. Once they drop off your order and confirm the delivery in the system, our T+1 clearance window begins.
T+1 Settlement Clearance
Funds are held securely through the next business day (Transaction Day + 1). If everything is perfect, the payment automatically releases to the vendor. If there’s an issue, you have until the end of the T+1 window to file a formal complaint via the portal link in the footer to freeze the funds.
Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly does T+1 mean?
T+1 stands for Transaction Day plus One. It means that once your item is delivered, the funds are held securely until the following day. This structured window ensures you have adequate time to inspect your items without creating endless delays for vendors.
What happens if a vendor goes AWOL or sends the wrong item?
If the item doesn't show up, or if you receive the wrong size, color, or condition, scroll down to the bottom of any page on our site and select "File a Complaint" before the T+1 window closes. This locks the escrow amount immediately until our campus admin team reviews it.
